American Benefits Institute

The American Benefits Institute is the education and research affiliate of the American Benefits Council. The Institute's mission is twofold:

  • Sponsor evidence-based research that assists public policy makers in making informed decisions about timely and vital employee benefits policy matters.
  • Convene meetings and undertake other activities that educate employer plan sponsors and other stakeholders in the employee benefits arena about evolving trends, best practices, and design and operational compliance strategies.

The Institute is also the principal venue where Council members engage in global benefits policy issues and share information about international health and retirement plan and compensation practices. The Institute serves U.S.-based companies as a conduit for information about legislative and regulatory developments and benefit practices outside the United States; and also assists non-U.S.-based companies learn about employee benefits policy and legislative and regulatory developments in the United States.
